Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to eliminate poverty housing worldwide. Habitat for Humanity is a housing ministry building simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with those in need.
Habitat homes are constructed through the labor
of volunteers and applicant family homeowners. The homes are purchased with no-profit, 0% interest mortgages. Families make their mortgage payments based on 25% of their monthly income.
All monies received from mortgage payments are recycled into the “Fund for Humanity,” used to buy materials for the next Habitat home.
