With 100 miles this was the longest day of the week. Got off to an early start and hit the road at about 6:30 The trail was heavily littered with debris from the wind the night before. At one point we had to wait for a tree to be cleared by a man with a chain saw. Another spot had to get off the bike and carry it over a tree trunk that spanned the path. Wind picked up as the day went on. Very strong head and side wind. It was very helpful to ride with a small group. Close to Grand Meadow we rode through a very large wind farm. Many huge wind turbines. Seems like an excellent location for a wind farm. Tonight we are staying at the high school which is unique in that it is made up five huge domes. Early bedtime for me tonight. My legs are aching.
Tommorrow we head to Albert Lea and on the way we have a rest stop at the SPAM museum!
